The combination of cinematographer turned director KV Anand, Surya and AVM inAyan has multiplied the expectations of the movie manifold and it has indeed worked for the trio! "Ayan" the title itself sounds unique and different from the general trend that’s followed in Tamil cinema.
Surya plays the soft role in the first half and later becomes a romeo in the second half. The movie is a super entertainer with shots taken in new and unique locations, (various countries like Tanzania, Botswana and Namibia), a different take over the villain, and yes not to forget actress Tamanna playing her part. Jagan and Karunas fit their roles as friends perfectly and have done justice to acting. Actor Prabhu Ganesan is spotted performing good character roles these days and he has played his part well in the movie. The story is a romantic-comedy laced with lot of action is all that can be said.
